HER ROYAL CUTENESS!

Proud Kate’s enchanting snaps of Charlotte

- By Rebecca English Royal Correspondent r.english@dailymail.co.uk

WITH her sweep of dark hair and sparkling eyes, she is most definitely her mother’s daughter. Photographed by an adoring Duchess of cambridge, six-monthold Princess charlotte also very much fits her father’s description of her as a ‘little joy’.

The two new photos of the fourth in line to the throne were released by Kensington Palace yesterday as a means of thanking the public for its support and interest since the couple’s daughter was born on may 2.

They were taken by keen photographer Kate, 33, at Anmer Hall, the cambridges’ ten-bedroom norfolk mansion, in early november. The couple are basing themselves there with their family while William works as a pilot for the East Anglia Air Ambulance.

They show that charlotte, not seen in public since her christening in July, is growing up fast. She is able to sit almost unaided in a ‘ shabby chic’-look armchair covered with a green and beige checked fabric.

Her twinkling blue eyes are inherited from her father, while her chubby cheeks and infectious smile look just like big brother George’s.

The princess is dressed in a pretty patterned dress with a white frilled collar, thought to be from liberty, over which she is wearing a pink woollen cardigan. Her tights are ribbed baby pink Amaia Kids tights costing £11.

one of her cheeks is slightly pink, indicating she may be on the brink of teething, although her gummy smile shows that none has popped through just yet.

The first photograph shows her gazing almost wistfully at something or someone in the distance, perhaps her father or nanny, maria Borrallo, trying to distract her.

The second shows her clutching her toes and laughing as she looks at a fluffy stuffed toy dog placed on the seat next to her.

Initially the pictures weren’t intended for public view but the duchess was so pleased with them – and the positive response her last photographs of George and charlotte received – that she decided to release them.

Kensington Palace said in a statement: ‘The duke and duchess continue to receive warm messages about Princess charlotte from all around the world and they hope that everyone enjoys these lovely photos as much as they do.’

A royal aide added: ‘ The duke and duchess are very grateful for the support they have received

‘Wanted to share these photos’

when it comes to their children and wanted to share these very charming pictures taken by the duchess. It is something they intend to continue to do.’

Although the couple are keen for their children to enjoy as normal a childhood as possible away from the public glare, William enjoys talking about his daughter. He has described her as a ‘little joy of heaven’ and as being very wellbehaved and ‘ladylike’ in comparison to her boisterous big brother.
