Clarifications & corrections

In common with other newspapers, a news item on november 13 about Dyson’s defeat in its bid to change European energy labelling of vacuum cleaners was linked with a separate legal action against rival firms Bosch and Siemens regarding their energy ratings. We would like to clarify that in fact the cases are separate and the latter remains undecided.

A column item on november 7 said that marie curie was French. We are happy to clarify that, although she subsequently took French citizenship, she was born in Poland.
