THE WORLD’S MOST FAMOUS TRAIN, 8PM, CH4
STEPPING aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express (VSOE) is like stepping back in time and into a world of glamour and sophistication. Comprising 17 unique Twenties carriages, the train has become as synonymous with luxury as the original Orient Express, which was withdrawn from service in 2009. During its nine-month annual season, the VSOE makes more than 60 journeys, mainly between London and Venice. This film provides an enticing glimpse of a singularly luxurious and romantic train journey, which has been enjoyed by the rich and famous for more than a century and today offers passengers an idyllic, five-star experience — at a price, of course.
