Scott Saunders, 27, quits The Apprentice after being verbally abused by its star, businessman Alan Sugar, 68, who is said to have responded: ‘Good. You’re doing me a massive favour. I didn’t want you, anyway.’ According to sources on the BBC1 show, Sugar told Saunders that he was ‘useless’ and his performance the worst in the show’s ten-year history. It would be amusing if, one day, an insulted contestant vaulted the desk and punched Sugar’s hooter, but I don’t suppose that we’d be allowed to see it.
