Too early for a Christmas tree? Not at Coleen Rooney’s house!

- Daily Mail Reporter

WHEN it comes to Christmas decorating, Coleen Rooney has it all wrapped up. With tinsel, baubles and a lot of giant bows.

The mother of two and wife of footballer Wayne Rooney showed her Christmas preparations are already well under way, posting a picture online of an elaborately decorated tree in her living room.

While a few of her fans asked whether it was too early for the tree to be up, Mrs Rooney, 29, was clearly pleased with her handiwork, captioning the picture with the message ‘exciting’ and several smiley faces.

But online critics were quick to point out they could hardly see the tree thanks to its array of glittery decorations, which were also used to adorn her mantelpiece.

‘You’ve got so much c**p on it we can’t even see the tree?!?!’, wrote one, while another said: ‘Looks nothing like a Christmas tree... looks like you threw lots of things on top of each other.’ One critic sarcastically added: ‘Could do with a few more things on it ...looks a bit bare.’

Mrs Rooney, who is expecting her third child, also wheeled out another of her festive favourites, her Christmas elf dolls Eddie and Ernie, who this year have a new friend Emma. It prompted many to speculate that her baby, due in January, could be a girl. She posted: ‘December means one thing ... the elves are back at the Rooney house to make sure Kai and Klay are being good!!’

Budget chain Aldi has triggered a Christmas tree price war by selling a range of firs starting at just £11.99 for a 4ft 3in tree.

Its 5ft 10in Scottish-grown Nordmann Fir will sell at £19.99, compared to around £50 in many outlets, with John Lewis charging £75 for its 6ft 7in tree.
