Ticket turmoil for Adele fans

Fans buying tickets for adele’s muchanticipated tour were left furious after a security breach led to their personal data being leaked.

Customers who had waited more than three hours to secure tickets online complained they were shown other people’s shopping baskets – including card details and addresses – at checkout yesterday as the system struggled to cope with the huge influx of buyers.

The small batch of tickets had gone on sale on the song Kick website ahead of Friday’s general release. Cyber security experts said the site ‘has probably not been tested to deal with this level of demand’, and that the breach did not appear to be due to a hack. Last night song Kick did not respond to requests to comment.
