Grealish still down with the kids

-

JACK GREALISH has been told to carry on training with Aston Villa’s Under 21s this week and is unlikely to be in the squad to play Southampton on Saturday. Villa manager Remi Garde dropped him for the home defeat by Watford last weekend after the midfielder was seen partying in the wake of a 4-0 defeat at Everton. On Sunday Grealish, 20, was at an event for young Villa fans at Dudley Zoo, signing autographs and posing for pictures for more than an hour. When he reported for training yesterday, Garde told him of the decision to extend his exile. Grealish is thought to have then done extra work at the training ground.

BOLTON’S adviser Trevor Birch, trying to find a buyer for the club, says their situation is ‘perilous’. Owner Eddie Davies is no longer prepared to bankroll Bolton but will write off £185m the club owe him. Birch told the club website: ‘The club’s position is increasingly perilous and new investment is needed quickly.’

YEOVIL boss Paul Sturrock has been sacked after less than eight months in charge.
