HE already has four grownup children and ten grandchildren.

Now 68-year-old Ronnie Wood is to be a father again twice over after his third wife announced she is expecting twins.

The new arrivals will be the Rolling Stones guitarist’s first children with theatre producer Sally Humphreys, whom he married in December 2012.

At 37, she is younger than even some of her stepchildren.

A spokesman for the Rolling Stones said last night: ‘Sally and Ronnie Wood are delighted to announce that they are expecting twins in June 2016. They are thrilled and overjoyed with the wonderful news.’

The pair started dating in 2012 after being friends for nine years when they met backstage at a theatre where she was working at the time.

The couple tied the knot at the

Dorchester Hotel after a whirlwind six-month romance, with the musician’s Faces’ bandmate Rod Stewart acting as the best man.

Wood had a son Jesse, 39, with his first wife Krissy Findlay, who died in 2005. The couple divorced in 1978 after he had an affair with Pattie Boyd, former wife of Beatles star George Harrison.

He then had two children, Leah, 37, and Tyrone, 32, with second wife Jo Wood, as well as adopting her son Jamie, 41, from a previous marriage.

She divorced him in 2009, a year after he left her for Russian cocktail waitress Ekaterina Ivanova, who was 20 at the time of their affair.

Wood has ten grandchildren, including Rex, two, and Honey, who was born in September, who are Jesse’s two children with TV and radio presenter Fearne Cotton, 34.

Miss Humphreys had spoken previously about wanting to have children, telling an interview: ‘Yes, I do [want my own kids]. There’s no plans but there’s no non-plans, if you see what I mean.

‘As time ticks on, I would like children... Obviously we’ve spoken about it quite a lot, and you can ask him [Wood] and his response would be, “Well, that would be nice”.

‘He’s up for it. I do think that would be wonderful, but I don’t know if it will happen. I hope so.’

In a separate interview, she said: ‘I think Ronnie will be a great dad. I’ve seen how good he is with his own children and grandchildren. He is the first one to pick up a baby. But... you have to get what you are given.’

Miss Humphreys, who has never taken drugs and barely drinks, has been seen as being a calming influence on Wood, who has reportedly been sober since his eighth stint in rehab in 2010. She told Hello! magazine that they do not notice their 31-year age gap, although Wood admitted that she is sometimes mistaken for his daughter. She said: ‘Maybe it’s the old- souls-youngsoul thing, but we don’t notice it.’

Wood is worth an estimated £35million, much of it accumulated after joining the Stones in 1975.
