When Richard Attenborou­gh appeared in Jurassic Park in 1993 it was his first screen acting role for 14 years, during which time he had directed Gandhi, A Chorus Line, Cry Freedom and Chaplin. FAYE DUNAWAY, 75. The Oscar-winning star of the 1976 film network, and also Bonnie And Clyde (right) and Towering Inferno. She starred in The Thomas Crown Affair in 1968, with Steve McQueen, and in the film’s remake 31 years later, alongside Pierce Brosnan. She allegedly threw a cup of urine at bullying director Roman Polanski while making the hit movie Chinatown. MARK ADDY, 52. The York-born actor best known for playing Robert Baratheon in Game Of Thrones and TV comedy Trollied. he began his career building sets at York Theatre Royal and it took 13 years as a jobbing actor before he achieved global fame stripping off in the 1997 comedy The Full Monty.

WARREN MITCHELL (1926-2015). The London-born actor was best known for his role as the outspoken bigoted cockney Alf Garnett in sitcom Till Death Us Do Part. A West ham fan in the TV series, in real life he was a Tottenham supporter. BENEDICT ARNOLD (1741-1801). The American Revolution­ary War general whose bravery and achievemen­ts in his fight against the British were overlooked by the Americans to such an extent that he changed sides over to the British. After the war he moved to London and for Americans his name will be forever a byword for treachery.
