FOrgET the models striding down the catwalk, the best show at London fashion week is played out on the front row. From top models to all- powerful fashion editors and of-the-moment actresses, the coveted seats are a barometer of cool, clearly revealing who is in — and out — of fashion.

And the front row at Topshop’s fashion show this week was no exception.

As ever, there were high cheekbones, lithe limbs, and artfully-tousled hair. But gone were the familiar faces which have graced the front row in recent years.

The most notable absence was 42-year-old supermodel Kate Moss, who designed a line for the store for seven years and usually sits in pride of place next to Topshop boss Philip green, but also missing were front row stalwarts model Alexa Chung, and supermodel Cara Delevingne.

In their place were leggy Lottie Moss, 18, — Kate’s half-sister — London party girls Suki and Immy Waterhouse, supermodels Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss and Lara Stone, male model Lucky Blue Smith and American model and style icon Olivia Palermo.

Indeed the only familiar face was U.S. Vogue editor Anna Wintour, the most powerful woman in fashion — who was accompanied by the younger generation, her daughter, Bee Shaffer.

But while many of the front row faces may be fresh, they are testament to the growing power of social media, with multi-million pound fortunes and modelling contracts built on the back of their millions of followers on photo-sharing site Instagram.

Here we reveal just who’s who when it comes to fashion’s new power players...

1. KATE’S LITTLE SISTER

LOTTIE MOSS, 18, is the younger half- sister of supermodel Kate — they share the same father, businessman Peter Moss — Lottie fits modelling around attending a private school in Eastbourne.

She was first spotted when she was a bridesmaid at Kate’s wedding to musician Jamie Hince in 2011, and signed to Kate’s label Storm Models, but her parents made her turn down high-profile jobs to concentrate on her education.

She recently appeared on the cover of Teen Vogue and has just been photographed for U.S. Vogue, but as she is only 5ft 5in, she’s too short for the catwalk.

She shares her sister’s rebellious streak, breaking school rules by having her tongue pierced, turning up to her 18th birthday party in a see-through dress — and confessing to a penchant for bad boys.

2. WORTH £1.5M AT 17

A SEEMIngLy strange choice for the front row of British brand Topshop, U.S.-born Lucky Blue Smith, 17, is modelling’s new ‘It’ boy and has done campaigns for CK One, Levis and gap, plus a Harper’s Bazaar cover. She spent Christmas frolicking on a tropical beach with her family, and was pictured daily in evershrinking bikinis. Vogue magazine calls her ‘one to watch’.

5. AND HER NAUGHTY SIS

A FAVOUrITE of the gossip columns thanks to her on- off romance with 41-year-old actor Bradley Cooper, Suki Waterhouse, 24, has amassed a £1.5 million fortune modelling for Burberry and M&S. She is noted for her carefree, party lifestyle and close friendship with supermodel Cara Delevingne.

She has just filmed a cameo in the new Absolutely Fabulous film. Lara, who is Dutch, went through rehab for alcohol issues shortly before meeting Walliams, by whom she has a son, Alfred. She has appeared on the cover of most major fashion magazines, featured in the famous Pirelli Calendar, and earned £2.6 million.

10. JET-SET DADDY’S GIRL

PARTY-loving heiress Chloe Green, 24, has a shoe line at Topshop and has appeared on Tv show Made in Chelsea. She dated singer Marc Anthony, the ex husband of Jennifer Lopez, who was twice her age.

Home is a flat in Belgravia, bought for her by her father, and she has a housekeeper who comes in to tidy three times a week. ‘i’m super down to earth. Everyone tells me that i’m very normal,’ she told Elle.

She added: ‘i’m not saying to my dad: “Because we have a jet, can i borrow it and fly down to France?” if my dad says: “Would you like the plane?” then i’ll say: “Sure, if you don’t mind.” But if not, BA is fine.’

11. TOPSHOP TYCOON

noT quite as leggy or as popular on social media as the rest of the front row, Topshop owner Sir Philip Green, 63, nevertheless has the most clout.

As chairman of the Arcadia Group — which also includes Wallis, Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins — this larger-than-life businessman will have personally overseen the Topshop front row. He has an unerring nose for the next Big Thing — just last year he was pictured snuggling up to Cara Delevingne, and before that he gave Kate Moss her own Topshop collection.

Legendary for his lavish birthday parties, his 60th, in Mexico, was attended by actors Gwyneth Paltrow, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Hudson. Performers included Robbie Williams and Stevie Wonder. on the last day there was a ‘simple beach barbecue’ — with music from The Beach Boys.

12. VOGUE ICE QUEEN

U.S. voGUE editor Anna, ‘nuclear Wintour’, 66, is the most powerful woman in fashion and a friend of everyone from President obama to Kanye West. She’s worth £24 million and can make or break a designer by feting or rubbishing their collection in her magazine. She’s also famous for wearing dark glasses on the front row, so her facial expressions can’t be seen — and she inspired the terrifying boss in the film The Devil Wears Prada.

13. AND HER DAUGHTER

AnnA’S daughter Bee Shaffer, 28, by husband David Shaffer, is a bookish child psychologist, working as a producer on late-night Tv show.

Her parents broke up after Anna fell for Texan millionaire Shelby Bryan whom she met at a political fundraiser. There were reports of trysts in France and gifts of enormous emeralds for Anna.

However, Bee doesn’t take after her mother. She has said: ‘i’m not that interested in fashion. i’m 5ft 5 and have huge boobs.’

So why is she there? it could be at the behest of mummy dearest — or Sir Philip may have simply been interested in capturing the attention of her 71,800 instagram followers.
