Soldiering on, Clarkson and his Fortnum’s nosh

IF JEREMY Clarkson’s selfie of a bloodied nose and blackened face was a bid to convince us he is ‘roughing it’ for his new TV show, then it has backfired.

Filming his Amazon Prime series in Amman, Jordan, the former Top Gear host claimed his sullied visage was the result of his ‘most dangerous car stunt yet’.

But life on set for Clarkson, 55, who is seen here in Army fatigues and sunglasses, could hardly be more luxurious.

As my picture shows, the grizzled egomaniac is being spoilt as he poses with his arm perched atop two hampers from the Queen’s favourite grocer, Fortnum & Mason.

With such posh nosh at hand, it’s hard to imagine he’d have any reason to complain about the food — hot or cold — this time.
