How do I find the right surgeon to fix my nose?

QI HAVE always hated my nose and I am considering having cosmetic surgery. How would I go about finding the right cosmetic practitioner? I am keen to achieve natural results.

AFOR many people, the shape of their nose can have a huge impact on their confidence. In some instances, the best option for nose reshaping is a surgical procedure called rhinoplasty.

Sometimes, we can reshape the nose non-surgically with dermal fillers in a technique known as non-surgical rhinoplasty, which has none of the downside of surgery. Whichever route you choose, be sure to do your homework.

Always ask to be shown before and after photos of previous patients who have had the procedure, as this will give you an idea of the results you can and cannot achieve. If a clinic is not prepared to do this, I would wonder why.

It’s always important to know as much as you can about the practitioner and the products being used — what they are made of, the pros and cons of undertaking the treatment and the long-term implications. Don’t forget to ask about the aftercare needed — and if there are any extra fees.

In my opinion, it is unwise to be tempted by cut-price deals or incentives. The experience of your practitioner far outweighs cost considerations.

Finally, intuition is a good thing; the relationship between you and your practitioner is of paramount importance. If you feel you can put yourself in their hands and that they will do their best for you, then consider going ahead with treatment. Good luck!
