WHAT’S NOW & HOW TO DO IT. . .
BARELY THERE BASE
BARELY there make-up is back in fashion, and the easiest way to achieve it is with a beautiful base — and not much else.
MAC’s Matchmaster Shade Intelligence ( below right, £29.50, maccosmetics.co.uk) is a cushion compact foundation that conceals dull or uneven skin without making your face look dry — often a problem with very matte bases. For oily skin, try Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint (£30, nars
cosmetics.co.uk). Though oil-free, it gives surprisingly good coverage, a dewy finish and has SPF 30. For a budget option, Bourjois does fab foundations. Its new City Radiance (£9.99, Boots) is perfect for more mature skin.
