ACTOR Ricky Gervais and his partner, writer Jane Fallon, bought this fairly ordinary-looking five-bedroom house in Hampstead for £3.4 million in 2006.
They have also angered their neighbours — by creating a basement ‘leisure suite’ with swimming pool which cost a reported £1 million.
Despite all that work, the pair have now upgraded to a £10.5 million mansion nearby. They also own two apartments in New York and recently spent £2.75 million on a plush riverside property in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

MANY thought that former Take That star Robbie Williams had overpaid when he bought his seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom Wiltshire manor house for £8 million in 2008. Only 18 months after buying it, he tried to sell for £7.5 million — and it’s been on and off the market ever since.
In 2013, it had an asking price of £5.5 million. Now it’s believed to be quietly for sale again at the same price — a hefty loss on what he paid.
It’s got a football pitch, tennis court, hot tub, 73ft indoor pool and helipad, but unfortunately there’s also a smelly waste recycling plant across the fields.
Williams and his actress wife Ayda Fields also own Michael Winner’s former house in West London, which they bought for £17.5 million, as well as a home in California.
