NEW HAIR Cost: £2,000-£7,000, depending on the area EIGHTY-FOUR per cent of all hair transplant procedures in the UK are on men. This lengthy treatment — undergone by footballer Wayne Rooney in 2013 — involves removing healthy hair follicles directly from a donor area on the scalp (usually at the back of the head) and grafting them on to the bald or thinning areas. It only requires a local anaestheti­c, so is low risk.
