Here comes the bride ... on Twitter and Facebook
AFTER planners, photographers and stylists, perhaps the next step in blow-out weddings was inevitable: the advent of the social media professionals.
Zoe Anastasi, 34, and Will Diggins, 32, from Derby, are today planning to stage what’s been dubbed Britain’s first ever ‘social media wedding’. They will broadcast their ceremony and celebrations across Facebook, Instagram and Periscope, by which users can broadcast a live video stream on Twitter. Crucially, the couple have handed the job to a local social media agency, Status Social. Miss Anastasi said: ‘You spend so much money on flowers, venue, food, drink. Social media is such a big part of our lives today so it deserves an investment, too.’
The agency says its wedding packages start at £6,500.
