‘Noisy’ Union Jack lowered

-

A UNION Jack that was flying on a council building has been taken down after one resident complained that it was making too much noise flapping in the wind.

Totnes Town Council had raised the flag at the Devon town’s civic hall to commemorate the centenary of the Battle of Jutland.

But Councillor Marion Adams told a meeting: ‘There was a complaint that the flag was making too much noise.

‘There are a lot of people who are very unhappy that it was taken down.’
