ISABEL SAYS: This brim is so big, it created a metre-wide exclusion zone around my head. The subtle blush-pink bow is a refreshing change from gaudy feathers and flowers. But it doesn’t feel secure. The slightest gust of wind would send it floating across the race course.

STEPHEN SAYS: It’s a very English look, evoking strawberries, Pimm’s and cricket. It’s also a man’s idea of what a hat should like. For me, that makes it very feminine. Isabel looks like a lady.
