BHS failure

QUITE rightly, Sir Philip Green has been criticised for his alleged failure to resolve the BHS final salary pension scheme deficit.

The Pensions Regulator is asking serious questions about how Sir Philip could sell the chain to a failed business owner. But surely the Pensions Regulator failed the members of the pension scheme in not putting a block on the sale until the deficit had been cleared. PETER A. THOMPSON,
