trainer Andre Fabre has ace US filly Tepin in his sights with Duke Of Cambridge Stakes winner Usherette. Tepin was an impressive winner of Tuesday’s Queen Anne Stakes and will defend her Breeders’ Cup Mile crown in the autumn, but Fabre will not be afraid to take her on. He said: ‘I think Usherette could beat Tepin. She has a turn of foot which is exceptional.’ Usherette was the middle leg of a 285-1 treble for Godolphin-owned horses which opened with an easy victory for Richard Fahey-trained Ribchester in the Jersey Stakes and also included Mick Halford-trained Portage in the Royal Hunt Cup. Ribchester is likely to face St James’s Palace Stakes winner Galileo Gold in the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood next month.
