Gemma, jewel of Venice

GEMMA Arterton dazzled red carpet onlookers in Venice yesterday wearing jaw-dropping diamond and emerald earrings.

The British actress, 30, was in Italy as part of the judging panel for the 73rd Venice Film Festival. Her dazzling jewellery – thought to cost more than £10,000 – was created by Chopard, an upmarket Swiss jeweller and is part of the company’s new Green Carpet Collection.

Miss Arterton, who was Daniel Craig’s Bond girl in Quantum of Solace, bared her shoulders in an elegant low-cut, floor-length laced black maxi dress for the premiere of La La Land.

Just hours earlier, Miss Arterton had been pictured at the photocall for the judging panel dressed in a considerably more casual look in a white armless mini dress.

This year’s festival opened with the musical starring Emma Stone as an aspiring actress alongside Ryan Gosling as a jazz musician.
