Harper falls for doll in need of some TLC
HER dad had his share of football injuries. But five-year-old Harper Beckham has her own way of learning about life’s hard knocks.
She has become devoted to a doll with a plaster cast on its leg. Harper cradled it as she and David, 41, arrived at LA airport to fly to Brit- ain. The doll, which has a wheelchair, is from the American Girl range, designed to raise social awareness.
But Chris McGovern, of the Campaign for Real Education, said: ‘Buying commercial products is not necessarily the best way to understand the needs of others.’
