Conmen steal Euan Blair’s ID

Ex PM’s son is victim of complex fraud

-

EVER since colourful conman Peter Foster caused a huge controversy by helping Cherie Blair negotiate a discount on two flats she bought in Bristol while her husband Tony was Prime Minister, her family has been wary of fraudsters.

Their eldest son, Euan, has, however, fallen victim to a complex fraud involving private jets, jewellery and an address in London’s Docklands.

I can reveal that no fewer than five businesses have been set up in the past few months with Euan Blair listed as a director at Companies House.

One of them is a private jet business, VIP Aviation Group Ltd, and another is a jewellery business called Synowiecky.

Fraudsters managed to set the businesses up formally at Companies House using the name and date of birth of Euan, 32, who lives in a £ 3 million London home with his wife, Suzanne Ashman.

Based in London Docklands, VIP Aviation Group’s nature of business was described as non-scheduled passenger transport and freight air transport, and Euan was stated as having invested £680,000. It was claimed the company would hold £1.7million once all the nominal share capital got paid up.

The jewellery business, Synowiecky, was set up last month and is said to be worth £2.3 million. The three other directorships include APE Global and Vitae Phram, which claim to have a combined nominal value of £12 million, and Lux Bso Ltd, which purports to have a £17 million aggregate nominal value, including £5.1 million for Euan.

However, the fraudsters made a mistake by listing Euan’s occupation as ‘solicitor’. Although his mother is a barrister and father Tony was also one, Euan (pictured with Cherie) did not follow them into law.

The fraudulent new Companies House documents record Euan’s service address as a Battersea property that, upon further inquiry, is also listed as the address for 38 other individuals, many of them fictional characters from American TV shows.

‘Euan will be looking into this as a matter of urgency, ’ the Blairs’ spokesman told me last night.

‘This is a mystery to Euan. He is not a director of these companies and has never heard of them.’
