LSE inquiry extended

COMPETITION chiefs have extended the deadline for their probe into a German takeover of the London Stock Exchange.

The £ 21bn tie- up with Deutsche Boerse is being examined by the European Commission.

A ruling was due last month but regulators had already pushed this back to midFebruary. They now have until March 6.
