JAMIE FOXX (pictured) won an Oscar for his portrayal of Ray Charles in this finely tuned biopic. Ray’s incredible story encompasse­s not only blindness from childhood, but also racism and heroin addiction. From this, he emerged as a dignified musical trailblaze­r. PERIOD CRIME DRAMA Murdoch Mysteries, 9pm, Alibi

THE witnesses in a murder case begin dropping like flies, pushing Murdoch to a truly demented course of action to bring the killer to justice. This hysterical new episode also raises a question: How is the fabulously incompeten­t Henry still employed?
