You wear it well… Rod goes incognito on Tube to O2 show
MOST pop stars arrive for a concert by chauffeur-driven limo or helicopter. But Rod Stewart opted for the common touch yesterday for the second of his shows at London’s O2 arena.
He made his way by public transport, although he did have to travel in disguise. Sir Rod, 72, wore a duffle coat – hood pulled up – and sunglasses as he and wife Penny Lancaster, 45, took national rail and the Underground, apparently going unrecognised by fellow passengers. Loose Women panellist Miss Lancaster posted pictures of the pair’s journey on Instagram with the caption: ‘Sneaking into London by train today’ plus a winking emoji.
