DE BRUYNE SWITCH SHOWS PEP’S GENIUS

PEP GUARDIOLA made an astute tactical switch in the second half against Liverpool by moving Kevin De Bruyne out on to the right.

City were getting no joy with Raheem Sterling on the right wing. While his running on the ball was great, Sterling’s final product was lacking.

De Bruyne’s quality of delivery is superb and once he was moved on to the wing, it was only a matter of time before he put in the cross of the season to set up Sergio Aguero.

Guardiola has received a lot of criticism in a difficult week but that excellent decision earned City a valuable point.
