By George! A birthday surprise for Pat, 87
IT might not be the most significant milestone, but for Pat Adams there’s no doubt that her 87th birthday will be one to treasure.
For, as well as presents and cards, Miss Adams was treated to a visit from her favourite actor, when George Clooney popped into her care home. The actor made an appearance at the Sunrise of Sonning retirement home near Reading on Sunday,
Clooney, who lives nearby, had been contacted by staff and brought Miss Adams a bunch of flowers and a card.
Linda Jones, who works at the retirement home, posted a picture of the pair online. She said Miss Adams ‘loves George Clooney and mentions everyday how she would love him to meet him’.
Oscar-winner Clooney, 55, whose wife Amal is expecting twins, left Miss Adams ‘beaming from ear to ear’, staff said.
