WORDS OF LOVE

I am just a humble poet With words I try to write To say ‘I love you, darling’, Each morning, day and night. I love the silver of your hair Above your eyes so blue, I love the way you hold me so It says: ‘I love you too’. I love to hear your laughter To see your smiling face, To hold you gently in my arms In such a sweet embrace. I love you so my darling Is what I have to say, Except to add that I’ll be true Each and every day. I will miss you so my darling Through the long nights and the days, I hope that you will think of me When I am far away. The sun may shine upon me, Though it might as well be rain, I will hurry home, my darling To be in your arms again. Your lips so sweet, I will kiss again And hold you oh so tight, And whisper words of love, my dear, ’Til the early hours of the night. Our lonely days are over We have each other now, To have and hold and share our love So I will make a vow. I vow never to hurt you, I will be ever true, My final words my darling ‘I am in love with you’.
