ORIENT OWNER TOLD TO PAY DEBTS OR SELL UP

LEYTON ORIENT have been a handed a stay of execution after paying their tax bill — but still have a winding-up order hanging over them with spiralling debts outstanding to several creditors. At a High Court hearing, Orient owner Francesco Becchetti was given until June 12 to pay off debts or sell the club. The court was informed that Becchetti would invest £1million to pay off remaining debts in eight to 10 weeks.
