Tennant, whose narration for Labour’s 2015 video concluded with the observation that ‘ Britain succeeds when working people succeed’, is slated to appear on one day of the three-day convention.
Industry observers in the U.s. say that those who have played doctor Who are among the most sought after convention stars, with Matt smith — Tennant’s successor — reported to have trousered £ 200,000 per weekend at recent events. It seems Tennant, whose wedding to Georgia Moffett in 2011 was attended by former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, has a soulmate in Lord Mandelson, who famously declared that he was ‘intensely relaxed about people getting filthy rich’.
