Dungaree doubles: it’s Emma and her girl (in £1,000 shoes)

OSCAR winner Emma Thompson shares more than just her looks with her 17- year- old daughter, Gaia.

They also boast the same dress sense as they revealed after turning up in the same outfit to a Bafta party for The Ghetto Film School this week.

‘We didn’t match each other intentionally,’ said Emma, 57, who was wearing brown dungarees, a white shirt and trainers. ‘I had no idea tonight was going to be so high key, so I didn’t dress up.’

But aspiring actress Gaia, who sported black dungarees over a white top, trumped the Love Actually star by wearing £1,000 Stella McCartney black and gold platforms.

‘I’m a lot shorter than this, but I’ve got these huge Stella McCartney shoes on,’ Gaia explained, whose father is Emma’s husband, actor Greg Wise, currently playing Lord Mountbatten in the Netflix series The Crown.

‘I can’t remember where I got my shoes from,’ Emma admitted.
