Out of the mouths of babes
My grANDSoN Jordan, aged five, was playing with his building blocks and ignoring his mum’s request to put them away. To encourage him, I told him that grandad would be coming home soon and he would be cross if the blocks were all over the floor. Almost immediately, Jordan began to pick up the building blocks, throwing them into the box. In a very cross voice, he said: ‘When grandad’s a little boy, I shall make him pick up his blocks!’ Margaret Ball, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffs.
