Will Robbie’s new ‘super shed’ enrage Page?

-

ROBBIE WILLIAMS recently accused his next-door neighbour, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, of camping outside his West London home to spy on his noisy building works. Now Page, 73, may need to increase his surveillance.

For I can reveal that Williams plans to get the builders in again at his £17 million mansion, to construct a ‘modest’ 463 sq ft summer house at the end of his garden. That’s roughly the same size as a one-bedroom flat.

His architects call the ‘pavilion-like summer house’ a ‘humble gem in the garden setting’ ( see architect’s computer mock-up, right).

Page has already fired off furious letters to the council, claiming Robbie’s grand designs, including remodelling a basement swimming pool, could damage his Grade I-listed property.

So will Page object to the new project, which includes ‘associated landscaping works’? Ominously, Williams (pictured above right with wife Ayda) held jamming sessions for Take That’s 2013 comeback tour in a shed in the grounds of his Wiltshire estate.

His architects say no trees or hedges will need to be removed, so at least the widow of the house’s last owner, Death Wish director Michael Winner, won’t complain.

Robbie irked Geraldine when he uprooted eight palm trees Winner had planted because they didn’t suit his ‘British woodland’ theme.
