Love-in for a loser

ON THE campaign trail yesterday, Lib Dem leader Tim Farron — backing Simon Hughes as the party’s candidate in Bermondsey and Old Southwark — said: ‘You will never meet anybody more loved within the community he served than Simon Hughes.’ So why did he lose the constituency last time to Labour by more than 4,000 votes on a 14 per cent swing?
