3 The day to night dress

-

Kim Winser, Ceo of Winser London, formerly first female director of m&S, says: THE first point to consider when buying a dress is how much arm and leg you want to show. Once you’ve decided, be ruthless. If it’s a lovely colour and a great price but shows off bits you’re not comfortable revealing, you’ll never wear it. I’m also a great believer in good value. You shouldn’t be paying more than £150 for a cotton dress this spring. In terms of styles, be guided by your body shape. Pleating or ruching at the waist is great on a curvy figure, but a straight up-and-down shift is good on a boyish frame. For a heavy bust, a ‘notch neck’ (basically a mini V-neck) is great.
