9 The ‘it’ shoe you can walk in

What to buy this summer? Pink, pink, pink! Any shade will do. russell & Bromley’s hot pink Chester loafer is one of my favourites. Or how about a beautiful pink slingback? Both styles are extremely wearable this season.
You could also try a kitten heel (you’ll see a lot of lower heels around over the next few months) or, to make a slingback even more wearable, how about incorporating this season’s block heel — maybe in a contrasting colour such as red or with a little glitter?
It’s always good to look for something that will take you from the working week to the weekend.
If pink is not for you, then you can’t go wrong with a good neutral shade, whether it’s taupe, black patent or even snake print — they go with any outfit. If the shoes aren’t comfortable in store, it’s unlikely they ever will be — but do make sure you’re wearing the socks or hosiery you’re planning to wear with the shoes when you try them on. Finally, don’t discount the pool slide (a flat, slip- on sandal) and mule styles this summer. Both have had a luxury makeover and will add a flash of simple charm to any look.
