PENSION PLAN Car maker Jaguar Land Rover is set to link thousands of workers’ pensions to career average pay rather than final salaries. The plan has been agreed with Unite union and will save the company millions.

DIVIDEND LIFT Thanks to a lift from the Brexit-hit pound, dividend payments have jumped 16pc to £15.3bn in the first quarter of the year, according to Capita Asset Services.

CANCER FIGHT Private hospital group HCA Healthcare UK has invested £50m in new cancer care centres. It has ploughed £38.2m into the london Bridge Hospital and £12m into an outpatient centre in Chelsea.

NEW SCHOOL International support services and construction group Interserve has struck a £36.5m deal to build a new secondary school for 1,500 students in Monmouthshire, South Wales. It is due to open in September 2017.

STAKE SALE oil giant BP is believed to be considering selling its stakes in three Canadian oil sands projects. The firm’s 50pc stake in the Sunrise project near Fort McMurray in Alberta is the most valuable.
