Ukip to break truce with jibe at May
THE Tories and Labour will restart their election campaigns tomorrow after a three-day pause – but Ukip will break the truce a day early.
Paul Nuttall will launch his party’s manifesto today with an attack on Theresa May. A Ukip source said it would ‘expose her record as home secretary and highlight the cuts she has made to the police and border force’.
The Ukip leader said: ‘It is by prolonging the disruption to normality that we allow the terrorists to win.’
After a minute’s silence at 11am today, Labour and Tories will resume low-key local canvassing before national campaigns return tomorrow. Jeremy Corbyn said resuming campaigning was ‘an essential mark of the country’s determination to defend our democracy’.
Prime Minister Mrs May will fly to Brussels today for a Nato meeting.
