MANCHESTER UNITED will now face the Champions League winners — either Real Madrid or Juventus — in the UEFA Super Cup in Skopje, Macedonia on August 8. They will also now go straight into the group stages of next year’s Champions League as Europa League champions. They will join Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City, who qualified by virtue of finishing in the top three of the Premier League. Liverpool, who finished fourth, must qualify for the group stage by winning a two-legged play-off match.
