Ex-DJ King’s new sex charges
FORMER DJ Jonathan King was charged yesterday with 18 sex attacks on nine teenage boys dating back to the Seventies.
The 72-year-old former music mogul is accused of sexually assaulting boys aged 14 to 16 between 1970 and 1986.
He was charged as part of the investigation Operation Ravine, set up to look into allegations linked to the Walton Hop Disco in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. King has been released on bail by Surrey Police to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on June 26.
Cambridge-educated King found fame with his 1965 hit Everyone’s Gone To The Moon.
He went on to produce hits for Genesis, 10cc and the Bay City Rollers, and appeared on TV in the UK and the US.
