A BRUTAL home derby against Wigan Warriors was a tough baptism for St Helens’ new head coach Justin Holbrook, but a last-ditch try by Mark Percival sealed a thrilling win for his team. Just as Thomas Leuluai’s late drop-goal had threatened to win it for Wigan, Percival scored his second try of the night in the corner to cap a dramatic finish. Australian Holbrook must have feared Joe Burgess’ try after 61 minutes had given Wigan the advantage but Percival’s brace turned the game on its head.
