car drivers will soon be able to ‘fill up’ at Shell filling stations.

Shell will open its first electric vehicle ( EV) charging post in the UK in July under the banner ShellReCharge, with nine more to come this year.

The first charging post will be at Whyteleafe service station, between Croydon and the M25.

Shell’s Make The Future Live festival is on at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, until tomorrow. Countdown’s maths expert Rachel Riley ( pictured above) launched the Shell Eco-marathon, involving futuristic fuel- efficient vehicles from 170 university teams. Go to uk.makethe future.shell.
