Fraud probe delayed
THE Serious Fraud Office has again delayed a decision on whether to charge Barclays over a £ 2.4bn Qatari fundraising drive during the financial crisis.
The cash helped prevent a state bailout, but the bank has been accused of paying Qatar £322m in advisory fees to take part. The SFO has delayed its decision on charges until mid-June. Barclays denies wrongdoing.
