£7bn takeover approved

TECH giant Micro Focus yesterday won approval from shareholders for its £6.9bn deal to buy Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s software business.

At a shareholders meet- ing, 99.9pc backed the deal, paving the way for it to become the UK’s largest technology company. Micro Focus, which employs 4,600, will return £390m to shareholders as part of the deal.
