SURREY’S Kumar Sangakkara fell 16 runs short of his sixth first-class century in a row as his side drew at Essex. The Sri Lanka legend, 39, had hit 136, 105, 114, 130 and 200 in his last five Championsh­ip innings but was caught and bowled by part-time spinner Tom Westley on 84. Only three men have hit tons in six consecutiv­e firstclass innings: CB Fry (1901), Don Bradman (1938-39) and Mike Procter (1971).
