SURREY’S Kumar Sangakkara fell 16 runs short of his sixth first-class century in a row as his side drew at Essex. The Sri Lanka legend, 39, had hit 136, 105, 114, 130 and 200 in his last five Championship innings but was caught and bowled by part-time spinner Tom Westley on 84. Only three men have hit tons in six consecutive firstclass innings: CB Fry (1901), Don Bradman (1938-39) and Mike Procter (1971).
