30ENGLAND lost their first six wickets against South Africa yesterday in just 30 balls — the fastest any team have gone six down in a one-day international. England have broken the ignominious record set in 2013 by Canada, who lost their first six wickets in 38 balls against Holland.

PSWHAT made England’s woeful display all the more surprising was that they had scored at least 300 in 10 of their last 11 ODIs in which they batted first — and they scored 296 in the other match!
