Travel cash card scrapped
THOUSANDS of holidaymakers could be left without travel insurance when the Travelex Supercard is axed. The card allows customers to spend abroad without paying extra fees and provides access to free travel insurance.
But the card is being scrapped on June 24, and users will no longer receive the cover. A spokeswoman says: ‘ Unfortunately, the costs of running Supercard and delivering the standards we expect have been much higher than anticipated.’
The Supercard phone app will let users view transactions made with the card until October 24.
To avoid fees when abroad, try the Halifax Clarity credit card.
