CHANNeL 4 News repeatedly sought to draw comparison­s between the assassinat­ion of Jo Cox and the Dunblane school massacre with the Manchester bombing as though they were in some way equivalent. enormous emphasis was made of the heroic acts of individual­s such as taxi drivers, the police and health workers. The word Muslim was used just once.

If you didn’t know any different, you would be forgiven for thinking the Manchester bombing of defenceles­s young girls was merely the act of an isolated madman, as opposed to a religious fanatical terrorist waging a holy war upon the people of Britain.
