CHANNeL 4 News repeatedly sought to draw comparisons between the assassination of Jo Cox and the Dunblane school massacre with the Manchester bombing as though they were in some way equivalent. enormous emphasis was made of the heroic acts of individuals such as taxi drivers, the police and health workers. The word Muslim was used just once.

If you didn’t know any different, you would be forgiven for thinking the Manchester bombing of defenceless young girls was merely the act of an isolated madman, as opposed to a religious fanatical terrorist waging a holy war upon the people of Britain.
