Terror deaths up 900%

TERRORIST-related deaths in developed countries have soared by more than 900 per cent, a study published today reveals.

And analysts say the total toll across the world jumped from about 11,000 in 2007 to more than 29,000 in 2015 – with a peak of 32,765 in 2014.

The largest increases occurred in Turkey, France, the US and Belgium, according to the Global Peace Index compiled by the Institute for Economics and Peace think-tank.

Political turmoil in the US made the general level of peacefulness across the Atlantic fall more than any other country, the report found.
